In the system:
A system member who broke off from Iris, as well as an approxive of Odile from In Stars and Time. A protector who tends to be more blunt and worse at comforting/helping others. When they front as a protector it's usually for times of internal system conflict or for reasons related to a certain event in our life. Generally, she is quite formal and has an innate desire to learn more about anything placed before them, to figure it all out - especially if it's a person. They like knowing what makes someone tick. Overall, one of the system members with the most authority and tends to be more confident, though can also be quick to get insecure. A lot of her backstory is similar to that of Odile, but significant parts of her personality originate from when she was a part of Iris - specifically the parts of Iris that were less like Iris' source. Likely actually broke off from Iris, and then fused with a fragment of Odile that was lurking around in our head. In the end, Wisteria is her own person, and yeah, she's really fucking bad at video games. (Thank you, Malachite, for the input.)
Pre-system:
Born in a small city in Ka Bue with a mother that left not long after their birth, leaving them only with their father and ageing grandmother, their childhood wasn't anything special. As a teenager, she realised that she was trans, but pushed that away and buried herself in her studies. They went to a local university, studying Craft, but the life of academia, denying their identity, and hiding who they were from everyone got too much. So they fled to a major city on the other side of Ka Bue, changing their name to Odile as a nod to their Vauguardian mother and presenting femininely; finally accepting themself. She found community in underground groups of other queer Ka Buans and learnt Body Craft - illegal in Ka Bue. Having decided that academia and structured learning would never work for them, they instead worked at a small bookstore and conducted their own research out of the various libraries in the city. A startling call back to her old life, though, was the news of her father's recent passing, after a couple decades of no contact with him. Full of regret, they left their life in the city and made their way back to their old town, where they attended his funeral and received the Gem that he had been turned into, as well as that of their grandmother, who had died before they left. Unsure of what to do now that she concretely had no family and regretting the years of ignoring her one remaining family member, she set off for Vauguarde in hopes of connecting with her heritage and at least, somehow, making up for the disconnect from her family. There, they travelled across the country, and making their way to others as well, learning about the world. Having ended up back in Vaugaurde during their travels, they got trapped there when the King took over, met Mirabelle and the rest of the party trying to take the King down, and well... You know the rest, if you've played In Stars and Time.
